A tributary of the River Isle, Dowlish Brook is formed by streams including Wall Brook and Stretford water originating on Windwhistle Hill above Chillington. The streams join east of Dowlish Wake. It flows in a generally westerly and then north westerly direction to join with the River Isle east of Donyatt. From its beginnings east of Dowlish Wake the stream travels a distance of close to 3 miles to join the River Isle.
